Zak Ferreira
Senior Associate, Nedbank CIB

Zak is an Industrial Engineer with a Masters degree in Engineering Technology Management from University of Pretoria. After completing his studies Zak worked as a management consultant on economic development projects sponsored by the World Bank in South Africa, Botswana and Ghana. Zak worked as a project developer for NRG Renew (previously Kayema Energy Solutions) in the solar thermal and PV energy industry from 2010 to 2017 where he gained extensive experience in implementing energy generation and efficiency consulting During this period he acquired a CMVP and UNIDO energy auditing certification. Zak joined Nedbank CIB Energy Finance in 2017 with a specific focus on developing financing solutions and products for the embedded generation and C&I energy sector. To date Zak has worked as a transactor on REIPPPP projects and one of the South Africa’s largest C&I energy portfolios providing debt finance in both cases.
