Orlando Gibbons
Structural Engineer at Arup, COP26 Climate Champions Team

Orlando is a structural engineer at Arup with a passion for minimising the environmental impact of the built environment, specialising in embodied carbon. He is an active member of the Institution of Structural Engineers Sustainability Panel, recently releasing a guide on how to calculate embodied carbon, and of other cross-industry groups looking to address embodied carbon in the built environment.
Currently he is seconded part-time to the COP26 Climate Champions Team where he supports the COP26 High Level Champions on advocating industry and government action on the decarbonisation and resilience of the built environment.
