Duncan Griffin AIA, LEED AP BD&C, LEAN
Managing Principal, HDR

Duncan Griffin AIA is a registered architect with 30 years of experience. As Managing Principal of HDR’s Architecture Studio in Seattle, he leads a practice focused on bringing regenerative design principles to our diverse clients with projects in Health, Community, and Education typologies.

Particularly focused on creating a positive human experience in the built environment, Duncan finds synergies that also make projects more efficient and less expensive to operate. A successful outcome for him delivers healthy experiences for building occupants, a flexible building infrastructure, and facilities that serve the community through reduced water, energy and carbon impacts. His recent video on Carbon Balanced Buildings explains how buildings can sequester carbon to balance their footprint.
